Whatever name or description you ascribe to the Divine, this truth remains: the sacred can be less than visible in the everyday world, until it comes out of hiding. Truly, that which is sacred has been present all along, but often you haven't been looking for it. From time to time you catch glimmers or glimpses, but so much of the time, like everyone, you become captive to your daily routines, the familiar sights, your customary thoughts.
Beneath and throughout those common routines, however, is a deeper truth. The sacred reveals itself in the earthy and earthly, in what is considered most ordinary. In fact, that's the only place that holiness can reveal itself if our very human and earthly eyes are to see it.
